About the Society

Cardiff Archaeological Society was formed in 1960 to promote, by lectures, field visits and, where possible, field work, an interest in the remains and history of past cultures and in the practices, techniques and disciplines of archaeology. The Society is self-governing and non-proft making.

The Society is very grateful for the support it receives from the Department of History, Archaeology and Religion at Cardiff University.

We welcome new members and visitors at our meetings.

All enquiries should be addressed to The Chairman, Cardiff Archaeological Society, 11 Fordwell, Llandaff, Cardiff, CF5 2EQ.
